I’ve been thinking about trying to make some of my own condiments but haven’t ventured there yet. Honestly, I don’t use a lot of condiments on my food. But I found a great deal on a brisket so that obviously demands some BBQ sauce. I looked and looked for a clean version but didn’t have any luck. Everything I found had high fructose corn syrup, sugar, or some other ingredient that I didn’t know what it was. Now that I’ve made my own BBQ sauce, I’ll never go back to store bought again! It’s super easy to make and takes less than 5 minutes to make! The best part is that it is naturally sweetened so there’s nothing artificial added at all!
Ingredients
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 tablespoons Tamari
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 3 tablespoons raw honey
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- splash of tabasco sauce (optional - if you want to add a little heat)
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl.
- Use on beef, chicken, or anything you like BBQ sauce on!
