2016 is officially halfway over! And summer is here in full effect! I’m kind of having a hard time believing that so much of the year has gone by and it will be time to start thinking about back to school and holidays! Time to look at our June income report and evaluate the month.
In my May income report, I was still significantly behind but was feeling more optimistic about getting caught up. And I am super happy to report that I did it! I managed to post every single post that I was behind on! I am beyond thrilled with my progress and don’t want to ever get to the point of being behind again.
Also during June, I found out that I was extremely Vitamin D deficient. After lots of research, I realized that has been the source of my chronic fatigue and lack of motivation. I don’t want to use that as excuse, but it had a significant impact on my life. And after a few weeks of heavy supplements, I’m now feeling much better, more focused and overall with a much more positive outlook on life. It’s amazing how one little thing can have such a profound impact on our lives!
Now on to the results from June:
Successes and challenges
- My email list is experiencing some stagnation. I’m working on figuring out how to increase it. I know there are some pretty aggressive ways to grow lists, several of those don’t appeal to me. My challenge is finding methods that work for me and don’t bombard my readers and visitors. I am only emailing once a week so it’s not too intrusive but I feel like many people are concerned about joining email lists these days. (Are you subscribed to my newsletter? Here’s the link if you’d like to – I’ll even give you a free ebook).
- My huge success this month that I mentioned earlier was getting totally and completely caught up! After being behind since the beginning of March, this is a huge victory for me.
- Another success this month was constantly promoting. Although I didn’t see the results in page view numbers, I am happy with the consistency and attention that I gave it this month. The results will come in time.
Although page views dropped this month but I’m not overly discouraged by it. Because I’ve earned these through hard work, they are all important! Because of the drop, I will be more focused on promotion this month, both through groups I belong to and exploring new avenues. I’ve got a long way to go to get back on track but I’m determined!
