How can another month have passed already?!? I honestly don’t know where time has gone! I can’t be possible that we’re nearing the midpoint of 2016!
Just like I reported in my April income report, life continued to happen. I found more of my focus and motivation, but struggled with finding time to get it all done. I kept plugging away at it. I can’t say I made much progress and I’m still way behind but I do feel like I made some progress and have positioned myself to be mostly, if not all, caught up by the end of June. I’m kinda feeling like there is a light at the end of the tunnel! And that’s a huge mental boost for me.
Now on to the results from May:
Successes and challenges
- Saw a little growth in my email list. While not significant, I’m pleased to see the number increasing. I have committed to sending it out once a week; while I haven’t always been able to stick with that, I am averaging once per week. My main goal is to keep the content relevant so that readers enjoy receiving and opening the email. I’m still experimenting with the best days and times to send it and have some data to look over. (Are you subscribed to my newsletter? Here’s the link if you’d like to – I’ll even give you a free ebook).
- As I mentioned earlier, my big challenge is getting caught up and completely back on track. I have made progress and will continue to do so. To get my mental focus where it should be, I have decided that instead of constantly trying to catch up with old posts that I would do current posts and back fill the ones I’ve missed. I realize this is a “6 on one, half dozen of another” kind of thing, but it resonates with me and that will keep me moving forward. It’s actually working so I’m going to stick with it.
- After having such a low pageview month in April, I was very happy to see my numbers going up. This little blog takes a lot of work and constant nurturing!
May showed 1000 additional views over April. I’ve got a long way to go to get back on track but I’m determined!
