Slow Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 box Devil’s Food cake mix
  • 2 cups water, divided
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup coconut palm sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

To Serve:

  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Slow Cooker:
    • Coat the bottom and sides of your slow cooker with coconut oil to prevent the cake from sticking during cooking.
  2. Mix the Cake Batter:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the Devil’s Food cake mix, 1 cup of water, and coconut oil. Stir well to eliminate most of the lumps.
  3. Pour the Batter:
    • Pour the cake batter mixture into the prepared slow cooker, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
  4. Create the Chocolate Lava Mixture:
    • In the same mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of HOT water, coconut palm sugar, and cocoa powder. Stir thoroughly until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  5. Layer and Cook:
    • Gently pour the chocolate lava mixture over the cake batter in the slow cooker. Do not stir; the two layers will naturally separate as the cake cooks.
  6. Cook the Lava Cake:
    • Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for about 2 hours. The cake will set, and the chocolate lava will create a decadent and gooey layer beneath.
  7. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Once the cooking time is complete, carefully remove the lid.
    • Scoop a portion of the warm Fudgy Chocolate Lava Cake onto a plate.
    • If desired, top the cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, allowing it to melt slightly over the warm cake.
  8. Indulge:
    • Delight in the rich, chocolaty goodness of the Slow Cooker Fudgy Chocolate Lava Cake. The combination of moist cake and oozing chocolate lava creates an irresistible dessert experience.

Note: This dessert is perfect for satisfying your chocolate cravings and impressing your guests with minimal effort. The slow cooker method ensures a tender cake with a luscious chocolate center, making it a delightful treat to enjoy on any occasion.
